Advance notice: foreign white water trip 2027 – expressions of interest wanted! We're in the early stages of planning next year's foreign white water trip. At the moment we're looking at two possible options: a return to Slovenia for 'advanced' (grade 3-4) kayaking - suitable for those who are already comfortable on grade 2-3 rivers; or a trip to the French Massif Central (e.g. Allier / Ardeche / Lot rivers) for more 'moderate' paddling (grade 2-3) - which would open up the trip to newer paddlers (some of whom might only be starting white water for the first time this winter); also to canoes as well as kayaks - and could be a more chilled affair to attract partners etc.... ...

Update / last call for August eventsFurther to our recent programme update (repeated below), we've had very little interest expressed in our August events, so: Sun 9 Aug trip very likely to be cancelled - unless enough of you e-mail Steve today to say you'd like to get out paddling! However, it wouldn't be a river trip due to the extreme low water levels, so would more likely be either on lake or canal...... ...

Heat-waves would be so much easier to deal with if we could just spend them on the river! As a registered charity there are certain things the club must do every year, one of which is the annual AGM. This year we changed it up a bit and combined the AGM into a river trip, the annual awards and a club barbecue to finish. 18 paddlers in assorted kayaks and canoes spent a day on the Wye in the stunning sunshine, helped by a nice cooling breeze and some opportune (and deliberate!) swims from time to time. Certainly beats an AGM on Zoom - I think we may have just started a new club tradition.#kayaking #canoeing #RiverWye #Brecon #Cymru #outdoors #GoPaddling #RiverPlay www.instagram.com/p/DavBi7riNAW/?img_index=1 ...
