We need to confirm numbers ASAP for our planned ‘expedition’ at the end of May, so we can book campsites and confirm details. What we know so far:
- 3 days’ paddling on the Wye – exact sections to be decided subject to numbers and campsite availability, but will be somewhere between Hay and Monmouth, paddling approx. 20km / 12miles per day.
- Camping each night – come for 1, 2 or all 3 days.
- Suitable for families (and maybe water-confident dogs!); unaccompanied under-18s please contact us to check.
- Particularly suitable for canoes and ‘long’ kayaks; ‘short’ kayaks also welcome but might find it hard work!
- Options for ‘proper expedition camping’ – carrying all kit in boats – or ‘supported camping’ – with kit being transported by road.
- Participants will need to pay camping, launch and parking fees; contribution towards boat transport; hire fees for club boats – and be responsible for their own catering (and camping equipment).
