April paddling trips: 9th (Easter Sunday) and 16th (CHANGE OF DATE)

Further to our recent message (below), we WILL be going ahead with a trip, on the Wye from Lydbrook to Monmouth, on Easter Sunday (9th), so if you’d like to join us on this please contact Steve by midnight TODAY Friday 7th!

HOWEVER, due to a diary clash (Steve needs to be with Jess for a Queen’s Scout Parade at Windsor Castle), the canal trip scheduled for Sunday 23rd April WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 16th APRIL. This will be suitable for ALL our paddlers, including beginners; please let Steve know by midday Tue 11th if you’d like to join us for this one (Anne and Sam Ho booked so far). Thanks – and apologies for any inconvenience caused by the date change…

We will continue to schedule club trips on the second and fourth Sundays of each month throughout the year.

This means we’re scheduled to have a trip on Easter Sunday 9 April, but don’t want to go ahead with this is no-one’s interested! It would likely be aimed at our more experienced paddlers rather than beginners – although that might depend on who (if anyone) wants to come – so if you’re interested in getting out for a paddle on Easter Sunday, please let Steve know by Fri 31 Mar so he can put together some suitable options.

23 April will be a canal trip be suitable for all our paddlers but particularly aimed at anyone taking part in our Monday evening courses. More details on this trip (and the Monday courses!) to follow, but do let Steve know in the meantime if you’re interested…
