You may have noticed that we have recently offered the opportunity for out Monday evening training sessions to make an optional ‘donation’ when booking in via the website event listings. This is because we want to keep the costs of attending our events as low as possible, but do still need to cover our annual costs (such as insurance) as well as the replacement of equipment – so we’ll also now be introducing these on our other events including weekend trips, for which we don’t currently charge fees (other than boat hire and direct costs such as launch fees and parking). They are truly optional – no-one should feel under any pressure to make theses donations – but we are very grateful for any we receive! And we should be able to claim gift aid on any such donations from UK taxpayers, which is an added bonus!
