Our polo players were in action again today, the first time we’ve ever fielded enough for 2 teams in a ‘proper’ tournament! This was the first round of this season’s Welsh 4s Division 2 League, held in the pool at Rhondda Sports Centre. Our teams were up against 3 from Rhondda (Rhinos, Blacks and Women), Swansea Women – and each other! Our A team (Dave, Geth, Glyn, Mike, Nat, Stef) won 3 games and lost 2, while our B team (Chris, Fleur, Harrison, Pat, Steve) won one, drew one and lost 3 – which we think will put them 3rd and 4th respectively. Everyone played brilliantly and it was great to see Fleur and Pat taking part in their first league games – well done all! Pending the publication of results, we think the B team will play next on 16 March and the A team on 4 April – each facing 2 of today’s teams and 2 from a previous heat held last month. We can’t wait!!!
