Based on results so far from our members’ survey, it looks as if we’ll have one group of adults on Monday evenings initially working on progressive skills development (Anne, Ian, Keira and Kevin) and one group working on performance training (Edith, Jim, Rhiannon and Sam C) – though this isn’t yet fixed in stone – and we do have space for junior beginners, for any of you who’d like to get your youngsters started in paddlesport!
If you haven’t yet let us know what you’d like to do, please complete our survey ASAP!
[Repeat of post from last week:] Monday 3rd April is our last pool session until September. We’ll take a break during the Easter and early May bank holidays and will resume OUTDOOR Monday evening training on 9th May (6.30pm until dark or 9pm – whichever comes first – based predominantly on the River Usk at Brecon Promenade). The plan for these training sessions will depend on who wants to come and what you want to do, but could include:
- Taster sessions for beginners
- Progressive skills development, working towards British Canoeing Personal Performance Awards (for those who like collecting certificates!) – suitable for beginners and developing paddlers in kayak and possibly canoe
- Performance training for those of you who’d like to build fitness and stamina in kayaks (and probably polo-related skills for those of you who are polo players!)
