Update / last call for August eventsFurther to our recent programme update (repeated below), we've had very little interest expressed in our August events, so: Sun 9 Aug trip very likely to be cancelled - unless enough of you e-mail Steve today to say you'd like to get out paddling! However, it wouldn't be a river trip due to the extreme low water levels, so would more likely be either on lake or canal...... ... See MoreSee Less

Heat-waves would be so much easier to deal with if we could just spend them on the river! As a registered charity there are certain things the club must do every year, one of which is the annual AGM. This year we changed it up a bit and combined the AGM into a river trip, the annual awards and a club barbecue to finish. 18 paddlers in assorted kayaks and canoes spent a day on the Wye in the stunning sunshine, helped by a nice cooling breeze and some opportune (and deliberate!) swims from time to time. Certainly beats an AGM on Zoom - I think we may have just started a new club tradition.#kayaking #canoeing #RiverWye #Brecon #Cymru #outdoors #GoPaddling #RiverPlay www.instagram.com/p/DavBi7riNAW/?img_index=1 ... Last call for Sun 12 Jul river trip & Mon 13 Jul training sessionWe still have a couple of places left on Sun 12 Jul 2026 River Trip, AGM & BBQ, if any of you suddenly find yourselves available at short notice! And bookings are still open for Mon 13 Jul 2026 Summer Training. Alongside the last week of our 'Learn to Paddle' course (a bit of a skills assessment!) and social paddle, we are expecting a small cohort of polo players this time; please remember to book-in so we know who's coming (and pay for boat hire unless you have your own!). Book tickets as usual using the links above; or e-mail Steve if you have any questions... ... See MoreSee Less

Reminder to BOOK NOW for our 12 July river trip, AGM and BBQOur next 'trip for all' (on the Wye from Glasbury to Hay) is fast approaching; and we're hoping that most of this year's 'Learn to Paddle' participants will be able to join us (along with our more established paddlers, of course!). The trip will be followed at Glasbury Scout Hut by a brief Annual General meeting (and annual Awards Ceremony); then a social gathering and BBQ to share time, conversation, food and maybe even some games with fellow members - and your families.... ...
