Monday evening Canoe Polo Training Sessions starting 5 September

Thanks to those of you who’ve responded recently to our call for canoe polo players. We now have enough players to go ahead with this – hurrah! Full details to follow next week (when Steve gets a moment) but in summary:

  • 4 Monday evenings this half-term (alternate weeks): 5, 19 Sep, 3, 17 Oct
  • 7-9pm in the pool at Brecon Leisure Centre.
  • Polo boats and equipment provided – wear swimming kit / shorts and T-shirt.
  • Sessions will help to develop your paddling skills and fitness as well as learning an exciting team game (think 5-a-side rugby in kayaks!). Suitable for anyone aged 11+ who can control a kayak and is confident capsizing (and who fits in our polo boats!) – we’ll go easy on youngsters and beginners!!
  • We currently have 13 people interested (although not necessarily each signed-up for each session) – Bruno, Daniel, Dave J, Edith, Jess, Mike S, Natalie, Olly C, Pete M, Sam H, Steve, Suse & Tanya) but may still be able to squeeze in a couple more (if we have enough boats the right size!)
  • Sessions will cost £9 if block-booked in advance (4 sessions for £36, no refunds for missing sessions) – or £13 for individual sessions (with priority given to those who block-book).

Watch this space for more detail next week – or get in touch if you have any questions…
