Three in the Trees – River Teifi 25 Feb

With two paddlers dropping-out at the last minute due to injury and illness, a small group comprising Andrew, Rhiannon and Steve went in search of some ‘easy’ white water on the upper Teifi and found (a) just enough water to paddle; (b) a tiny bit of grade 1 ‘whiteness’; and (c) LOTS OF TREES proving more tricky than most grade 2 rapids!!!! Nevertheless, we had a very pleasant 11km bimble through scenic countryside from Pont Gogoyan to Lampeter and were pleased to have discovered a new section of river.

Our next ‘harder’ trip is scheduled to the River Dart (grade 2(3) Loop / Lower) on Sun 12 Mar and our next ‘easier’ trip to the River Barle (‘solid’ grade 2) on Sun 26 Mar – subject to river conditions as usual. Both trips require lengthy drives; and are currently ‘full’ – but we may be able to squeeze in extra places, so please drop Steve an e-mail if you’d like to be put on the ‘reserve list’. More details on both in due course…
