It’s looking a bit cold again for lots of swimming, so we’ll be going for a river trip next Sunday, rather than a white water safety & rescue training day.
It looks as if the rivers will be low, so our options may be limited, though we won’t know for sure until nearer the time. We’re looking at the following options (in order of preference) – all interesting and mostly scenic sections of river with Grade 2(3) rapids:
- Afon Tywi (near Llandovery)
- Afon Teifi (near Lampeter)
- Afon Nedd (near Neath)
- A section of the Wye or Usk that we’ve already done this year
We’re currently expecting Chris (canoe), Dave, Peter, Phil H, Rhiannon, Sam, Steve (prob. canoe) but there should be space for one or two more – please let Steve know ASAP if you’re interested!
NB Steve may be able to give lifts from Brecon to save everyone driving long distances – please let him know ASAP if interested…
Timing likely to be 9.30am-4pm at the river (plus travel time!). Venue and details to be confirmed later in the week…
