Sun 8 Dec 2024 ‘Easier’ River Trip

NB this is a departure from our usual ‘2nd Sunday harder trip’ pattern, to fit with our ‘learn to kayak’ course.

This trip will be specifically aimed at our newest paddlers, including those who will have just completed our 3-week ‘learn to kayak’ course in the pool. The venue will be chosen to suit those who sign-up (so please book early to help us decide) but is likely to be a section of ‘easy’ grade 1 river (most likely Usk or Wye), with maybe an occasional rapid (which could be walked around). Participants will need to be prepared to paddle up to 5 miles in what could be chilly conditions! Numbers are limited and priority will be given to ‘new’ paddlers, so ‘get tickets’ quickly; participants and details will be confirmed nearer the time. Please ask if you’re not sure!
