Sat 26-Sun 27 Mar 2022 Paddlesport Instructor Course

This is a ‘commercial’ course being run by Steve Rayner, with the possibility of discounted places for Brecon Canoe Club Members.

The perfect course for anyone aged 14 or over wanting to take their first steps into leading or coaching sessions in kayaks, canoes or SUPs!

Participants need to:

1. be Full Members of Canoe Wales / British Canoeing (etc.);
2. register for the Award with Canoe Wales / British Canoeing (etc.) – cost £45;
3. have attended a British Canoeing Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) course at least 2 weeks beforehand – such as the one running on 6 Mar; and
4. have personal paddling (equivalent to the former 2*-level) and rescue competence in one type of craft (kayak, open canoe, sit on top, or stand up paddleboard).

The course will take place on the River Usk at Brecon Promenade and / or the canal in Brecon (depending on water conditions).
