Here’s an outline of what we’ve got planned for the coming months; please contact steve.rayner@breconcanoeclub.org.uk to express interest where the individual booking pages don’t yet exist – esp. for those events highlighted in bold (NB all trips are dependent on numbers and water conditions):
- Sun 27 Sep 2026 Welsh 4s Div 2 Polo Tournament – second tournament of the season for our Blue Team
- Mon 28 Sep-12 Oct General Pool Training 3 consecutive weeks, details & booking available now at Mon 28 Sep 2026 Pool Session (General Training) details for subsequent pool sessions TBC
- Sun 11 Oct Cardiff International White Water – an opportunity (in the morning) for developing white water paddlers to hone their skills before heading onto the rivers over the winter (check suitability with Steve!) and (in the afternoon) for our more experienced white water paddlers to challenge themselves on the higher flow rate
- Sun 11 Oct 2026 Welsh 4s u24 Polo Tournament – a new tournament for our younger players
- Sun 25 Oct ‘Harder’ white water trip for experienced paddlers (prob. Usk Talybont to Llangynidr, subject to conditions)
- Sun 8 Nov ‘Easier’ white water trip for our developing paddlers (prob. Usk Aberbran to Brecon) NB the intention over the winter is for these ‘easier’ trips to get progressively harder, subject to conditions and participants
- Sun 27 Nov ‘Harder’ white water trip
- Sun 13 Dec ‘Easier’ white water trip
- Sun 20 Dec ‘Harder’ white water trip (TBC)
- Sun 27 Dec River Trip for all (to work off the Christmas excess!)
- Sun 3 Jan 2027 Welsh 4s Div 3 Polo Tournament – first tournament of the season for our Red Team
- Sun 10 Jan ‘Easier’ white water trip
- Sat 23-Sun 24 Jan White Water Weekend (N Wales TBC) – may be suitable for our developing as well as experienced white water paddlers, depending on conditions and who wants to come (fallback will be a local day paddle on the Sunday)
- Sun 14 Feb ‘Easier’ white water trip
- Sun 14 Feb Welsh 4s u24 Polo Tournament
- Sun 28 Feb ‘Harder’ white water trip
- Sat 13-Sun 14 Mar White Water Weekend (Devon TBC) – may be suitable for our developing as well as experienced white water paddlers, depending on conditions and who wants to come (fallback will be a local day paddle on the Sunday)
- Sun 28 Mar Welsh 4s Div 3 Polo Tournament
- Sat 5-Sun 13 Jun White Water Week (French Massif Central, TBC) – for all our developing and experienced paddlers
