SUMMARY:Sun 12 Jul 2026 River Trip\, AGM & BBQ
DESCRIPTION:A trip for all our paddlers on the Wye from Glasbury to Hay (subject to conditions and numbers). Logistics to be confirmed by e-mail to those booking places\, timing expected to be 9.30am to 3pm. Unaccompanied children welcome\, lifts may be available from Brecon area if needed. Please e-mail Steve if you have questions or want to check suitability – and/or book places in the usual way via the online event tickets. \n\n\n\nCraft hire (kayak\, canoe or paddleboard) available as usual. \n\n\n\nTo be followed at 3.30pm\, at Glasbury Scout Hut\, by our Annual General Meeting (AGM)\, Annual Awards Ceremony and BBQ \n\n\n\nAt the AGM we’ll be conducting the necessary formalities (presentation of accounts etc. – see agenda below) and… \n\n\n\n\noutlining the Club’s activities and plans for the coming year;\n\n\n\nanswering any questions and listening to any suggestions you might have about the Club and its activities; and\n\n\n\npresenting our Annual Awards including the prestigious ‘Paddler of the Year’ trophy.\n\n\n\n\nThe BBQ will follow straight after the AGM and last until we’ve all had enough! This will be our first in-person social gathering for a while\, so we hope as many of you will come along as possible to share time\, conversation\, food and maybe even some games with fellow members – and your families. DESCRIPTION:For this Monday training session (our last currently scheduled this summer!)\, we again intend to offer the following (tickets now available in the usual way via the website event listing) NB those listed in Bold have already paid: \n\n\n\n\n‘Learn to Paddle’ course\, week 5 (5 weeks 15-29 Jun\, 6-13 Jun PLUS river trip 12 Jul)\, focusing on ‘informal skills assessment’ – currently expecting Colin\, Ellie W\, George\, Hannah G\, Hannah W\, James\, Michelle\, Niamh\, Suryaka\n\n\n\nSocial Paddling‘ – come along and join us for a gentle paddle\, probably to the rapids and back\, with optional coaching – currently expecting Zack;\n\n\n\nPolo Skills training for our polo squad (if enough of them want to come) – boat handling\, fitness and ball skills (and maybe some game-play!).\n\n\n\n\nLogistic arrangements as for Mon 15 Jun 2026 Summer Training.
