DESCRIPTION:We’re currently expecting the following players on Monday but may still have space for more\, so please let us know ASAP if you’re interested (i.e. if you’re not on the list below\, please don’t ‘get tickets’ without checking with us first) – NB those in bold have already paid: \n\n\n\n\nChris\, Dave\, Ele\, Fleur\, Gethyn\, Harrison\, Huw\, Jodine\, Logan\, Mel\, Natalie\, Sam C\, Stefan\, Steve R\n\n\n\n\nThe cost of each session will be £15 unless you’ve already ‘block-booked’ sessions in advance – and all existing paddlers will need to be paid-up members of the Club and of Canoe Wales (and signed-up to our Club Code of Conduct). Priority spaces will be given to block-bookings. SUMMARY:Sun 13 Oct 2024 Winter Warm Up Trip
DESCRIPTION:This will be either: \n\n\n\n\na trip on the Wye to introduce some of our new members to moving water paddling ahead of our introductory ‘easy’ white water trips (on each fourth Sunday starting 27 Oct); or\n\n\n\na trip to Cardiff International White Water Centre\, morning session may be suitable for white water ‘novices’ who’ve been to our Symonds Yat sessions; afternoon for experienced white water paddlers only\n\n\n\n\nWhich of these we do will depend entirely on who wants to come! If enough of our new members are keen\, we’ll do the river trip; otherwise more experienced paddlers may head to Cardiff. \n\n\n\nSo\, if you’d like to join us for a ‘winter warm-up’ paddle\, please drop Steve an e-mail by midnight Mon 30 Sep with ‘expressions of interest’ or any questions you may have.

SUMMARY:Sun 27 Oct 2024 'Easier' White Water Trip
DESCRIPTION:We now have two leaders for this trip so numbers will be less limited! \n\n\n\nThis will be the first of this season’s ‘easier’ white water trips – aimed at those of you new to white-water paddling (but also suitable for more experienced paddlers). This first trip (most likely on the Usk e.g. from Aberbran to Brecon) will focus on skills coaching; subsequent trips (scheduled for the 4th Sunday of each month until March) are intended to get progressively harder\, so get in at the start if you can! Numbers are limited and priority will be given to ‘new’ paddlers\, so ‘get tickets’ quickly (or e-mail Steve if they’ve sold out! ); participants and details will be confirmed nearer the time. Please ask if you’re not sure!
