DESCRIPTION:***Date change – no session on 19 Oct\, extra session 31 Oct*** \n\n\n\nCanoe Polo training for existing AND ASPIRING polo players – come and develop your kayaking skills through the medium of this exciting game (think 5-a-side rugby in boats – but don’t worry\, we’ll start gently!!). Training will include: \n\n\n\nboat handling skills;ball handling skills;fitness development; andgameplay.\n\n\n\nBook now for ‘block’ of 4 sessions on alternate weeks 5 & 19 Sep\, 3\, 17 & 31 Oct (using the RSVP button below or via mail@breconcanoeclub.org.uk) – or let us know if you can only make some of the sessions. \n\n\n\nWe’re currently expecting the following players but do need you all to confirm whether you’re coming to all 4 sessions or just a few: \n\n\n\nBruno\, Daniel\, Dave J\, Edith\, Jess (tbc)\, Mike S\, Natalie\, Olly C\, Pete M\, Sam H\, Steve\, Suse\, Tanya\n\n\n\nArrival & Changing\n\n\n\nPlease arrive in time to be changed and ready to enter poolside for 7pm – please don’t leave it until 7pm to start getting changed!). Please wear T-shirts as well as swimwear (for warmth and safety as well as modesty).Make your way straight to the changing rooms – there is no need to check-in at reception.Please wait at the changing room exits before going poolside – we’ll need to be given the ‘all-clear’ that the previous group has left before we enter.We’ll provide polo boats\, paddles\, spray-decks\, buoyancy aids and helmets (as long as we have enough of the right sizes – we’ll find out on the first evening!).\n\n\n\nOn Poolside\n\n\n\nParents are welcome on poolside to help children carry boats and get kitted-up\, also to help them empty boats if required during the session (we’ll show you how!).No outdoor shoes on poolside please.

DESCRIPTION:This is a ‘commercial’ course being run by Steve Rayner\, with the possibility of discounted places for Brecon Canoe Club Members.  \n\n\n\nThe perfect course for anyone aged 14 or over wanting to take their first steps into leading or coaching sessions in kayaks\, canoes or SUPs! \n\n\n\nParticipants need to: \n\n\n\nbe Full Members of Canoe Wales / British Canoeing (etc.);register for the Award with Canoe Wales / British Canoeing (etc.) – cost £45;have attended a British Canoeing Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) course at least 2 weeks beforehand – such as the one running on 6 Mar; andhave personal paddling (equivalent to the former 2*-level) and rescue competence in one type of craft (kayak\, open canoe\, sit on top\, or stand up paddleboard).\n\n\n\nThe course will take place on the River Usk at Brecon Promenade and / or the canal in Brecon (depending on water conditions). \n\n\n\nWhat to Do Now\n\n\n\nContact Steve as soon as possible to book places or get more information!
