Lockdown update

The GOOD news following the Welsh Government’s review yesterday is that watersports are no longer ‘banned’ as a high-risk activity; and the latest advice from Canoe Wales is that “from Saturday 13 March – paddling is permitted providing you do it in a group of 4 or less (from a maximum of two households) – and stay local (usually within 5 miles of where you live); paddle well within your comfort zone, take extra safety precautions, and paddle with another person wherever possible.” This just might allow a few of our members with their own equipment to get out-and-about on their own, on the canal for example…

The BAD news is that there is no news yet on when outdoor (or indoor) sporting activity might be allowed in larger groups – so for the time being we still can’t make any plans for re-starting Club activity, until we have further advice from Welsh Government and Canoe Wales.

We’ll let you know as soon as we have any more news…
