Sun 10 Oct 2021 River Trip with British Canoeing Award training

***In place of Canoe Award Course previously advertised for 9-10 Oct***

A river trip on the Lower Wye (near Monmouth) focused on training / assessment for the following British Canoeing Awards:

• Paddle Explore Award (in kayak or canoe), for those already working towards this: the Paddle Explore Award allows you to choose where you move next in the world of paddlesport and recognises your ability to independently paddle your chosen craft in a sheltered water environment.
• Canoe Award (in open canoes), for those ready to work on this award: the Canoe Award is designed to develop your personal paddling and decision making skills so you have a fun and safe day out on the water in winds up to and including force 3 and on grade 1 rivers with simple eddy lines.

As this is an award-based training day, there will be a cost for this event (which includes boat hire for those that require).
